How far is the beach?
Our closest beach is Sea Street Beach. We are a pleasant stroll down to the beach and the warm waters of Nantucket Sound. There are also 15 other beaches in Dennis alone, six within one mile of our cottages. Plus there are two fresh water beaches in town.
How long does it take to drive to Dennisport?
Dennisport is a family beach community within the town of Dennis on Cape Cod. The drive from downtown Boston is 87 miles. From Boston take Route 3 South. Enter the Cape via the Sagamore Bridge and take the Mid Cape Hwy (Rt. 6 East) to Exit 9A - Dennisport/Harwich and we are just minutes away.
When is the best time to book?
For the best choice, most summer weeks are booked in January, February and March. However, we do accept reservations all throughout the year.
How do I make a reservation?
Your on-line or email reservation request does not constitute a reservation until you are contacted by us and your payment has been received. Once you contact us and confirm your date selection, we verify availability and send/email you a confirmation/rental agreement requesting your payment/deposit. Once your payment and signed rental agreement is received, you reservation is confirmed. We will confirm receipt of your initial payment via email. Your on-line or email reservation request does not constitute a reservation until you are contacted by us and your payment has been received.
Will the cottage be held for me?
After we send your rental agreement/confirmation, we hold your reservation for you until the due date reflected on your agreement.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
During the Peak Season of July and August the minimum booking period is one week. Outside of July and August we can be very flexible with dates. Our minimum stay is 2 nights, with the exception of a holiday weekends which is a 3-night minimum. There may be some exceptions.
What do I need to bring?
You will need to bring your own bed sheets, towels and kitchen linens and paper products. See our amenities section on the "cottage Info" page for a complete list of items included in your cottage.
Can you provide linens?
We have guests, especially those traveling by air, that do not wish to travel with linens etc. We do offer any quest an option of providing linens. However we do charge an additional fee.
Why is there a maximum occupancy requirement in the cottage?
The Town of Dennis enforces a strict occupancy requirement and each permit notes the maximum number of guests (4) in each cottage
What are the closest airports?
Boston's Logan Airport and Providence, Rhode Island's T. F Greene Airport are both just under 2 hours from Cape Cod. The Cape has a small regional airport in Hyannis, which is about 15 minutes from Dennisport.
Is there a telephone?
There is a phone which allows you to make local calls and receive any incoming calls. All outgoing long-distance calls must be made with a prepaid telephone card.
Smoking?
Cottages are non-smoking. A strict no smoking policy applies. Non-compliance is cost of smoke remediation if assessed along with loss of security deposit and immediate eviction.
Parking?
Your rental includes parking for two vehicles. No RV's or campers are allowed to park on the premises. Please advise us if you are bringing a boat/trailer or a jet ski.
Cancellation:
In the event of a cancellation, within sixty days of arrival, for any reason, all rental monies will be returned, minus an administration fee of $75.00. Cancellations must be made in writing. If you cancel within sixty days of your arrival your deposit/final payment is non-refundable unless we are able to fill the rental dates. Your rental agreement explains this in detail.
Late Arrivals:
We can make arrangements for late check-ins due to flights or delay in arrival times
Peak-Season Rentals:
(Jul/Aug) - Check In 230 P.M. Check Out 10:30 A.M. Saturday - Saturday Rentals only
Off-Season Rentals:
We will rent for two or more nights outside of July and August. Holiday weekends have a three night minimum. We also have some added flexibility with check in/out times.
Housekeeping:
You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your rental during your stay, and for leaving it in good condition when you depart. After you check out, it will be inspected. Your deposit will be charged for loss, damage or extra cleaning.
Late Charges:
Any late charges resulting from an unscheduled late check-out (after 10:30 am) will be assessed by the hour at a rate of $50.00 per hour.
Lost & Found:
We always try to reunite owners with any items found left behind and will hold items left behind for two weeks. If you would like your item(s) shipped or mailed, you are responsible for all shipping and fees associated with returning/mailing items to you or any other specified recipient.
